Iām a data scientist and science communicator. I focus on the largest problems that shape our world, and how to solve them.
Most of my work focuses on environmental sustainability, including climate change, energy, food and agriculture, biodiversity, air pollution and deforestation.
I’m Deputy Editor and Lead Researcher at Our World in Data, and a researcher at the Oxford Martin Programme in Global Development, at the University of Oxford.
Some other responsibilities / awards:
- I’m a commissioner for Scotland’s Just Transition Commission (JTC).
- Awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Statistical Society.
- Selected as one of Vox’s Future Perfect 50 for 2023.
- On the advisory board for Ember Energy.
